I cannot begin to express how impressed I was, and still am, with my consult with Jacob. His process is thorough, exact, and personal. Jacob had clearly taken a lot of time evaluating my fixed elements, furniture, and overall design. Our zoom consult was such an important step in the overall process. Jacob was able to clearly articulate where his decisions were coming from and why they made sense. I am choosing to go with Jacob's #1 color recommendation, as well as his paint recommendation. I admit I have analysis paralysis and will deep dive before making decisions, but most times end up doubting and going in circles. This was where I was headed when I needed to paint our main open living space. When I found Jacob he provided me with expert advice and solidified and confirmed many thoughts and answered all my questions. What a pleasure it was to work with Jacob! He was patient and knowable. He helped me understand the science of paint color, and why certain colors just would not work with the finishes I had in my home. In the end, we ended up with a color I absolutely LOVE…and get compliments on regularly. Hiring Jacob was a wise investment, as it prevented me from making an expensive mistake. (I’d already spent thousands painting my house the “wrong” color and I had been unhappy- I didn’t want to make a similar mistake this time). Using Jacob’s color recommendations helped me move forward with CONFIDENCE into the new paint choice. Although he only had the uploaded photos of my home to work with, Jacob truly was spot on. He is a very talented designer and think his fee was worth every penny. I absolutely love my house now!! What a difference the right color can make!!

Trying to find a color, even a "neutral" color, is difficult for those of us not in the color/painting business. I worked myself into a tizzy and wasted a lot of money on tons of samples before I finally contacted Jacob. I should not have waited! I did not even know in which color category to look for what I had envisioned, but he did! Not only are his prices very reasonable, but he took all the stress off of me! He knows the answers to our questions: what will this color do in this lighting? Will the color complement my furniture? Will this color match the other rooms? It was such a RELIEF to have Jacob work this out for me. He takes the guesswork out by giving you color choices, sheen suggestions, product names, etc., I just had to walk into the store and say, "I want this." The absolute best part was when he said that no matter what color I picked out of his choices, I can't go wrong! He is right! I now have beautiful walls that make my whole living space brighter, bigger, and very inviting. Even my old furniture looks renewed! I can't believe the difference in picking the right color. Call him! He's great to work with!

I had a wonderful experience in my consultation with Jacob, I just cannot recommend him highly enough. Over the years I've hired numerous in person designers and online designers. Never did a single one listen to who I am or what I need in my living space - they always, always, always went with what was currently 'trendy'. Jacob, however, not only listened, he heard, he understood what I wanted our living space to feel like and I sincerely believe that it mattered to him that he could help to guide us to create the 'vibe' we wanted. And he did!!!! His suggestions were not only dead on - now that I've done all the painting I love it. I'm sincerely thrilled to have brought Jacob into the process and really happy that I trusted his judgment - it all looks beautiful. I'd recommend him and I'd for sure use him again.

I was having a very large area of my home and studio painted. I was going to pay someone to do it because of the height of the ceiling. When you are spending 3K, you need to get the color right the first time. Jacob’s suggestions were bang on. My home/studio looks so good now. Modern and right on trend with the latest color fashions. I am so very happy that we took the chance and consulted with Jacob Owens Designs. We needed something less dingy on our walls and I thought I had found the perfect color based on a friends home. Jacob politely pointed out that our fixed elements were not right with my choice and then asked some questions. This was the most painless, stress free color selection experience of my life. I love color, and often can see the perfect shade in my mind's eye. Putting a name to that perfect shade is another story, and yet Jacob made it happen. I had to convince my husband to paint over a stained wood fireplace wall and he went along grudgingly. We went with Jacob's first recommendation and feel our room has been given new life; updated, yet true to its original 1954 style. I will ask for his help again this spring to choose colors for the exterior of our home. Bravo, and thank you Jacob!

We spent as much on paint sample’s trying to find the right color to paint the interior of our house as we did for our consultation with Jacob. We snapped a few pictures of our place and received the perfect recommendation. Next time we paint we’ll contact him before we ever go to the paint store!

I am beyond grateful for Jacob's help on my project. I really needed help and FAST. Jacob was there and provided knowledgeable, confident assistance, with options and explanations, example images from my own home, and clear ranked choices for me to work with. Our discussion over Zoom was super helpful as well, and I felt I could move forward in confidence with his recommendation. One tip - go with his first choice. I went with his second choice even though truthfully I preferred his first, but the sample on my wall didn't sell me on it. However, I can see when it's a huge space filled with the color, that small sample you make yourself can be misleading. My only regret is not going with Jacob's top recommendation. He told me all the options would work, and he's RIGHT. I love what I have - so not saying there was a problem at all. Only that I should have just allowed Jacob to fully lead the way and I'd have been delighted. And I'm delighted anyway!! The results are beautiful and work well with my home and existing fixtures. I will use him again in the future and recommend him to friends for sure. Worth every cent. Thank you, Jacob!
