Working with Jacob has been fabulous. We’re so in love with his colour choices. I appreciate all the detail and support with the colour package he made for our home. Jacob provided us with his top 4 choices and we picked almost everyone and they look incredible. We painted our Veranda BM Millstone Gray (historical colour) that really pops in our 1914 craftsman style home. We painted our interior BM Ballet white to match our earthy undertones of our fixed elements. The office was painted BM Intrigue (stunning especially with Ballet White in the rest of the home). BM Revere Pewter in our master bedroom (Jacob recommended painting the ceiling too) - such a cool look. BM Edgecomb Gray in our master en-suite to neutralize the noisy undertones. And finally BM October Mist in our Sunroon (stunning!). Thank you Jacob!

Jacob was extremely helpful in choosing which colour pallet to paint our newly purchased home. I learned from Jacob, that its not just about picking colours on a whim, yet that a careful analysis of your home considering such aspects as room purpose, lighting, furniture, and flooring is critical. Jacob presented us with a colour palette report that was extremely useful and offered different choices of colours that would be a perfect match. The online session was a wonderful learning experience (as are his YouTube videos), and I can honestly say it was one of the best things we have ever done concerning refinishing our new home. Jacob’s knowledge, talent for colour selection, and obvious passion shone through during our sessions, and having now painted several rooms, my spouse and I are awed at how beautiful our home has been transformed. After having little success with two other online color consultants, I happened upon Jacob’s site. Not only was he more reasonable in price, he was amazing to work with. We had a great experience with Jacob. We sent him a 3D video of the house interior and he was able to determine the perfect color match for us, especially with regard to the kitchen. We wanted to paint our outdated maple cabinets but was not sure which colors would go with a baltic brown/black counter top that we couldn't change. Jacob managed to select a color we would never have thought of (Loggia, a mushroom color) and it has transformed our kitchen into a much more modern look. We were also happy with all the other colors he chose for our other rooms. Jacob was friendly and professional and I am still amazed at how he found such a great selection of interior colors without ever seeing the house in person. Thanks so much, Jacob!

Jacob, I just want to share to you the end product of your brilliance in color! Thank you so much! I received a lot of compliment specially after all my furnitures are back in my place. It is so funny, at first, the people working in my place and my friends thought it is just simple white cream/ yellowish color that we use to paint our place but when my belongings are back in my place they finally saw how everything tied together. Pictures don’t do justice! Now, the people who are renting our place from AirBNB are always in “awww” seeing the place not just for the first time but all the time they come back from their stroll to the beach. They love how our furnitures and decorations don’t clash with our wall paint/color. They said they feel so relaxed and rejuvenated and that’s what vacation is all about! They said “Seacret Paradise” at Pensacola Beach FL is not going to be secret anymore because they will recommend it to all their friends and family for their vacation place. Our place is now booking so quickly! Words are not enough to thank you for imparting you’re color expertise with us. All the extras you gave us in the package is amazing from lighting and other specifics are all amazing. And let’s not forget about the included zoom meeting! Excellent! Jacob took all information provided and developed a multi-room color flow that we and our guests love. I didn't realize I was having a retina problem, and even after moving the furniture to the windows I still couldn't see well. I decided the house was too dark (it was) and needed brighter paint . I didn't want a sterile cold white look. We have enough snow in Michigan. Jacob was patient in the Zoom visit, and provided us with several no fail options to achieve our goals. We now have a beautiful updated look that is classic, and we intend to enjoy it with our loved ones once this pandemic is over. PS I've now had the eye surgery and love our updated paint colors even more!

I did online consultation for exterior paint on my home. I didn’t want to make any costly mistakes...so glad I chose Jacob Owen’s online consultation services. He gave me 5 choices on BM and 5 on Sherwin Williams. I winded up using Jacob’s 2nd SW paint color - shoji white for body and his 1st SW paint selection on shutters- slate tile These choices along with a stunning Bronze color called Dark Bronzetone from Sherwin Williams made my house appear cheerful, refreshed and elegant. I first found Jacob as I scoured the internet looking for colorist reviews of interior paint colors. I was impressed with his energy, knowledge and array of colors he reviewed. The consultation process was seamless and the time spent with Jacob on zoom was priceless! I ended up picking the colors he recommended for my space and style - BM White Dove (Foyer), SW Black Fox (front door) and BM Pashmina (Living Room/Office) and SW Smokey Blue accent. I found Jacob Owens Design while trying to pick new interior paint colors online. Decided to give the 4-room Color Kit a try and it was best decision I made! The process through the website was easy to follow and there was quick turnaround with a zoom call with Jacob to discuss. Jacob really listened to what we were describing and trying to accomplish in our rooms. He gave great advise with the colors we were wanting and the Color Kit had a very comprehensive explanation of the process end-to-end on those final decisions, including color boards, light bulbs and living with our samples. By the time we picked our colors we knew we would love them and we would have the look we wanted. I can say we just had the interior house painted last week and it looks fantastic and all the colors are exactly what we wanted! I would absolutely recommend Jacob and this process for anyone that is struggling with color choices or just wants to be sure, before that new color goes on the walls, is right for the look and room being updated. Like so many others, I spent well over a $100 on paint samples. Trying to find the correct paint colors to coordinate with the many different fixed elements of a home recently purchased was a nightmare. After talking with interior decorators and paint store personnel, I was still at a loss. Consequently, I went to the internet and researched color experts. Though there were several choices, Jacob’s enthusiasm won me over and boy, did I make I the right choice! Not only is Jacob an expert color specialist, he is responsive, thorough and kind hearted. My wife and I bought a retirement home 3000 miles from our current home. We found a painter quicker than we anticipated. He started work immediately, first removing popcorn ceilings and then started painting the ceiling and trim! The painter asked us what color we wanted the trim painted!? We didn't have an answer! He then asked what color we wanted our walls painted?! Being our first home, we didn't have a clue! I started watching Youtube videos on "how to pick a paint color for your house." That's where I was introduced to Jacob! I visited his website and saw he had an online service. I decided to give it a shot. I started with just one room (the kitchen) as a test. When I received Jacob's "Color Kit" for the kitchen, I smiled! He offered 5 color options that worked with the cabinets and countertop and 2 options for trim. All 5 of Jacob's colors looked way better than what I had been playing around with. I was so impressed with Jacob's input that I gave him 4 more rooms to work with. Again, I was very pleased with the recommendations for all 4 rooms. Jacob made this really easy for us! I had a video call with him as well! He is as nice a guy in person as he is in his videos. His process is a great one! You get over 20 year's of his experience for a very reasonable price. My wife and I were able to go back to our painter and say we wanted this color ceiling, this color trim, we want this room painted with this color and that room painted with this color. What a difference from the blank stare we gave the painter when he first asked the question! My wife and I highly recommend Jacob! A cool side note: My wife's mom passed recently. The retirement home we bought reminded us a lot of my wife's mom's house. I felt it when I walked in the house and my wife mentioned it without me saying a word to her. It was one of those "Twilight Zone" moments. I had asked Jacob to include a darker color option for the master bedroom. He came back with "Rosemary" which was my wife's Mom's name!?
